I'm from India, came to London in 2020 for the MRes/PhD in Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science. I'm working on projects related to discrimination and segregation in the housing market in Delhi, effects of electricity reliability on rural development, electoral crime, and political ideological alignment and its effect on conflict.
I use tools from applied microeconomics, spatial economics, leveraging primary data collection, experiments, administrative data, machine-learning based data extraction, coupled with theoretical modelling and simulations for my research projects.
Prior to LSE, I worked at J-PAL South Asia on projects in their energy and environment portfolio. I have worked in collaboration with the energy departments in the states of Bihar, Rajasthan, Pubjab, Haryana, and Andhra Pradesh. I was involved in scoping, designing, and implementing RCTs, designing and conducting surveys, analysing primary and secondary data, as well as stakeholder management.
I have also worked at HSBC as a risk analyst, using predictive modelling to evaluate the credit risk scorecards for the Asia-Pacific market.Â
I enjoy teaching, and want to spend some time every year implementing and conducting research in the field.
